MARIA HERNANDEZ

Maria is a warm, empathic psychotherapist who has worked in addiction services for 20 years. She is a fully qualified psychotherapist and a Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Maria trained in Psychodynamic counselling at Birkbeck University and later obtained a postgraduate Certificate in Humanistic Counselling at Middlesex University.
Some of her main specialist areas include relationship difficulties, family breakdown, strained relationships between family members, divorce, low self-esteem, Attachment relationships, Low mood, anxiety and depression.
Her approach to therapy is humanistic; Maria works to build a non-judgemental, open and genuine environment so they can think together about the feelings and relationships in the client’s life, both now and in the past.
