Michael Imonirhua
Founder and Clinical Director
Michael Imonirhua is a seasoned professional in the field of mental health and addiction recovery, holding diplomas in Substance Misuse, Counselling, Conflict Management & Group Work, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. His profound commitment to the wellbeing of others drives his ambition to create and lead an international holistic service dedicated to mental wellness and recovery from addiction. His work is grounded in the belief that mental health and addiction are interconnected and must be treated with care, nuance, and inclusion of family systems. Trained in advanced group facilitation at the Institute of Group Analysis, Michael skilfully leads both individual and group therapy, creating spaces that foster connection, insight and lasting change. As a clinician and educator, he is passionate about sharing knowledge through workshops and training, empowering individuals and communities to support recovery and wellbeing. Michael’s vision is to lead an international service that supports healing holistically.

Marsha Matthews
Co-Founder
Marsha’s background includes coordinating drug and alcohol family services and addressing the impact of parental substance misuse on children. She also has expertise in quality assurance and safeguarding, and holds qualifications in youth work and in the emotional care of children, young people, and adults from the Tavistock Institute, with a focus on psychoanalytic approaches to wellbeing. Passionate about people and their wellbeing, Marsha combines strong leadership with a compassionate approach. Her priority is to ensure the safety of clients while ensuring that services are effective, meaningful, and genuinely improve lives.

Dr. Cyrus Abbasian
Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr Abbasian (BSc, MBBS, MSc, FRCPsych) graduated in medicine from King’s College London in 1999 and completed an MSc in Addictions in 2008. He undertook his psychiatric training at the Maudsley and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. The General Medical Council recognises him as a dual specialist in General Adult and Addiction Psychiatry. He has practised psychiatry since 2000, including 23 years in the NHS. He has held academic roles, including as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George’s University of London, teaching medical students, junior doctors, and GPs. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and has appeared in numerous media outlets. A pioneer in digital psychiatry, Dr Abbasian works fully remotely and manages complex cases, including addictions and dual diagnosis, within multidisciplinary teams. Dr. Michelle O'Sullivan
Trauma Specialist & Chartered Clinical Psychologist
Dr O’Sullivan is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with more than 15 years experience specialising in trauma and addiction. She has supported individuals through complex recovery journeys, particularly following occupational trauma in sectors such as the military and rail industry. Michelle primarily uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), integrating other approaches such as Compassion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness to tailor support to each client’s needs. Alongside her role at Keysteps, Dr O’Sullivan is Head of Psychology at a leading drug and alcohol charity. She also serves as an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Birmingham’s Clinical Psychology Doctorate, Deputy Chair of the British Psychological Society’s Faculty of Addiction, and is a member of the BPS Committee for Prevention and Public Health. Cristina Preda
Psychotherapist & Addiction Therapist
Cristina is a compassionate and highly skilled trauma expert (EMDR UK accredited), addiction specialist, and psychotherapist with over a decade of experience. Holding a first-class degree in psychology, a master's in addiction from King's College, and a diploma in integrative psychotherapy (UKCP accredited), she brings a wealth of knowledge and confidence to her practice—helping individuals navigate their challenges, manage symptoms, and build fulfilling lives. Cristina’s extensive experience spans charity addiction services, the NHS, mental health organizations, and private practice. She has worked with individuals facing drug, alcohol, and behavioral addictions, as well as those struggling with anxiety, anger, shame, relationship difficulties, and trauma. Her empathetic approach and deep expertise empowers clients to heal, grow, and reclaim their well-being.

Bobbie Sinclair
Addiction Specialist & Psychotherapist in Training
Bobbie has more than seven years of experience working in the addiction field, with a specialist focus on both stimulant and depressant substances. Bobbie brings deep empathy and understanding to her work, recognising that substance dependence rarely begins without cause. Whether rooted in emotional, physical, intellectual or spiritual pain, Bobbie believes that lasting recovery comes from addressing both the addiction and the underlying cause, at the client’s pace.

Maria Hernandez
Psychotherapist
Maria is a warm and compassionate psychotherapist with more than 20 years of experience in the field of addiction and emotional wellbeing. She is a fully qualified therapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). With specialist training in both Psychodynamic and Humanistic counselling, gained at Birkbeck and Middlesex University respectively, Maria brings a rich, integrative approach to her work. Her areas of expertise include relationship and family difficulties, divorce, attachment issues, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and the emotional challenges of separation and divorce. Maria’s therapeutic style is thoughtful, respectful, and deeply human. She offers a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can explore the emotional patterns and relationships shaping their lives, both past and present. With empathy and insight, she supports clients in gaining greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.

Mark Aitchson
Integrative Therapist
Mark brings a uniquely personal perspective to his therapeutic work, drawing from his own journey of recovery to support others with empathy and insight. After transforming his life following years of addiction, Mark was inspired to give back, first as a mentor and volunteer and later as a trained therapist. Mark holds qualifications in psychodynamic, integrative counselling, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and has supported clients through his work with addiction services and the mental health charity MIND. Mark works compassionately with individuals from all walks of life, offering a relational and non-judgemental space where healing, growth, and change can take root.

Olsa Hasani
Trainee Psychologist & Keyworker
Olsa is a trainee psychologist with a strong academic foundation and dedication to mental health. She began her studies at King’s College London, completing an International Foundation Programme in Biology and Chemistry before earning a degree in Psychology, also at King’s College London. Now working in the field, Olsa applies Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to her practice, adapting her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Committed to continuous learning and professional development, Olsa has completed training in areas such as “Mental Health Awareness, “Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion”, and “Care Plan, Risk Assessment, Keywork & Record Keeping” which enhances her ability to assess risks, create effective care plans, and promote inclusivity in her practice. In her role as a keyworker, Olsa provides critical support to individuals facing complex challenges, including addiction, trauma, gambling disorders, and mental health conditions. She has worked with a diverse range of clients, from those struggling with substance abuse and psychosis to individuals coping with hoarding and relationship difficulties. With a compassionate and client-centred approach, Olsa strives to ensure that each client receives personalised care aligned with their experiences and goals.

Illona Dagdalianidou
Holistic Nutritionist
llona is a holistic nutritionist holding a BSc. in Nutrition & Dietetics, MSc. in Clinical & Public Health Nutrition: Eating Disorders from University College of London. She also holds the NCFED Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders & Obesity award and in Childhood Eating Disorders & Obesity. Over the past 10 years, Illona has attended numerous nutrition courses, workshops, seminars and is always up to date with the newest research and practices. Illona is an experienced nutritionist working with clients of different backgrounds and she is specialising in: ●Nutritional education & counselling ●Weight issues (weight gain, maintenance or weight loss) ●Eating disorders & Obesity, especially Binge & Compulsive Overeating, non- critical Anorexia & Bulimia. ●Promoting changes in eating habits, and lifestyle ●Food addictions & Emotional Eating ●Changing mindset around food and eating Illona has many years of experience working with people with Eating disorder, Emotional eating and weight issues and have managed to help many people normalise their eating and heal their abnormal eating habits along with achieving their nutritional goals. Illona has also volunteered for many charities, such as Food Chain, Diabetes UK and for Helping Hackney Health providing Nutrition & Cookery classes and have done many different workshops on nutrition and health topics for schools and private companies. Additionally, she works as a natural remedies advisor for Planet Organic, the UK’s largest fully-certified organic supermarket, where she has expanded her knowledge in naturopathic nutrition and natural remedies.

Mick McCulloch
Wellbeing Practitioner & Family Interventionist
Michael has over 10 years of experience in the field of addiction and mental health. He holds a Level 3 NVQ qualification in Health and Social Care and began his journey working in local public sector services under the Blenheim Project umbrella. During this time, he received extensive training in risk assessments, drug testing, one-to-one client support, family interventions, and case management. Most importantly, he learned how to adapt to the individual needs of clients with care, compassion, and professionalism. As he developed in his role, Michael discovered that his strengths lay in working closely with individuals on a one-to-one basis. In his current position, he supports clients and families through extremely complex and challenging situations, often during critical periods of their lives. He has learned the importance of patience, active listening, and maintaining a calm, professional presence even in high-pressure environments. His approach is always client-centered, making thoughtful, reasonable decisions focused on the individual's needs while offering empathy, compassion, and a sense of humor to help build trust and rapport. Michael also has experience working with families, who are often in crisis themselves due to their loved ones’ addiction or mental health challenges. He believes it is essential to support and guide them through difficult situations. Throughout his experiences in supporting both clients and their families, he has remained true to a core set of values: inform, support, and listen.

AnMarie Henry-Ellis
Wellbeing Practitioner
With six years of experience in the field of addiction recovery, Ann-Marie is a compassionate and dedicated Substance Misuse Support Worker, offering non-judgmental, trauma-informed care to individuals navigating drug and alcohol challenges. Ann-Marie’s person-centred approach ensures that each client receives tailored support based on their unique needs and circumstances. Ann-Marie has expertise in harm reduction, relapse prevention, crisis intervention, and supporting co-occurring mental health and housing challenges, and works collaboratively with clients to create personalised recovery plans, connect them to essential services, and empower them to build resilience and regain independence.

Paul Russell
Wellbeing Practitioner
In December 2001, Paul entered a rehabilitation centre in Weston-super-Mare, UK, where he was first introduced to recovery. Within a few weeks, he knew he wanted to live clean and eventually support others on a similar path. Although he was not able to begin working in the field immediately, he immersed himself in 12-step fellowships after returning to London. Over the years, he remained clean through consistent meeting attendance and service in the fellowship, which laid the foundation for his future in recovery work. After several years working as a postman and later as a motorcycle courier both roles that supported his passion for travel, he decided to pursue a more purposeful career aligned with his recovery journey. In 2022, he completed the CCAR Recovery Coach training, an accredited program that enabled him to begin working professionally in the field. For the past three years, he has worked with Keysteps, focusing on: •Interventions and detox support •One-to-one coaching and wrap-around care •Client transport to treatment centres globally •Team collaboration with doctors, psychologists, counsellors, and psychiatrists •Compiling reports and case studies In addition, he delivers 12-step workshops (NA/AA literature), relapse prevention programs, and Big Book studies to a high professional standard. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Ministerial Studies with a Prophetic Concentration, which has enhanced his holistic understanding of personal transformation and human potential. During his studies, he supported the organisation by assisting in marking coursework, including that of future ordained ministers. His passion remains in helping individuals grow in their recovery, whether they are just starting out or have many years of experience. He continues to find fulfillment in walking alongside others on their journey to lasting change.

Liam Carlisle
Sober Companion & Recovery Coach
With many years in personal recovery and professional experience in addiction support, Liam provides one-to-one guidance, relapse prevention strategies, and psychosocial interventions to help individuals rebuild their lives. Trained in substance use disorders, mental health, and safeguarding, Liam offers compassionate, tailored care to those navigating the challenges of addiction. As a Recovery Coach and Sober Companion for Keysteps Wellbeing, Liam also supports clients globally, accompanying them to treatment centres and ensuring continuity of care. Liam’s work is grounded in empathy, empowerment, and a commitment to helping clients achieve lasting recovery and meaningful change.

Brianna Wilcox
Admin Assistant
Brianna is part of the administration team here and works as the assistant to the director. Their role is all about keeping things running smoothly, from organising programmes and creating timetables to handling concierge requests and liaising with clients. They also take care of day-to-day admin tasks, such as managing schedules, coordinating communications, and ensuring the team has everything they need to deliver their best work. They love making sure everything is organised, efficient, and stress-free for both clients and the team.

Mykele Watson
Admin Assistant
Mykele is a part of the core administration team at Keysteps Wellbeing, where she assesses clients and coordinates support for both clients and their families. They enjoy working in this space because it reveals the resilience people can demonstrate when striving for self-improvement. Witnessing clients make progress and achieve the recovery they have been working toward is both inspiring and rewarding for them. Alongside her role, Mykele is currently completing a master’s in clinical psychology, with particular interests in neuropsychology and the study of human behaviour, including cognition, psychological development, genetics, and social factors. Mykele’s academic journey complements her work at Keysteps, allowing them to merge theory with practice in supporting people's wellbeing. Looking ahead, Mykele’s goal is to qualify as a clinical psychologist and continue developing expertise that will enable them to make a meaningful difference in people's lives, both within Keysteps Wellbeing and in the broader field of mental health and recovery.
