Michael Imonirhua
Founder and Clinical Director
Having overcome his own addiction, Michael Imonirhua became a qualified substance misuse practitioner in 2007. His extensive experience within local authority and community drug and alcohol services revealed a critical flaw: the prioritisation of funding targets over personalised, holistic client care.
Michael found traditional, clinical settings delivered treatment under a “one-size-fits-all” approach, and failed to understand that environments have a profound impact on a patient’s state of mind and recovery.
“After witnessing the limitations of rigid traditional treatment methods, I established Keysteps Wellbeing Service to reach beyond the boundaries and bureaucracy of existing mainstream provisions. My intention was to create a service that was completely person-centred and where clients could receive an exceptional standard of care without judgment and with complete personalisation.
“Keysteps Wellbeing Service, run with my wife, aims to improve the mental health and recovery experience by addressing the unique needs of each client, particularly those navigating the complexities of wealth and responsibility, and fill a significant gap in existing services.”
